The NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
Services (NCDVRS) is responsible for the general state vocational
rehabilitation services program (VR) under Title I, part B of the
Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. It is also responsible for
the state supported- employment services program under title VI,
part B of this same act.
The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 establishes the legal requirements of
each state VR program in its provision of vocational rehabilitation
services for its citizens. The act requires each state VR program to
submit annually a state plan indicating how it will comply with the
statutory provisions of the act, implementing regulations and the
administrative requirements of the Rehabilitation Services
Administration (RSA).
RSA has approved the 2010 State Plan for the NC Division of
Vocational Rehabilitation Services, effective October 1, 2009
through September 30, 2010.
